USA Risk Group is seeking an Accountant whose primary responsibilities would consist of preparing and overseeing financial statements for a portfolio of clients. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Preparing financial statements
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Primary contact with risk managers, Treasurers and CFO's of client companies
  • Organizing and presenting at client board meetings
  • Coordination of client service providers

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able meet strict work deadlines and take ownership of your role, work well independently and as a team, while fostering excellent client relations. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as attention to detail.

Job requirements:

  • CPA desired
  • 4 year accounting degree
  • 4 years of financial statement preparation or comparable experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

 Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Captive insurance experience
  • Detailed knowledge of insurance accounting principles




Account Support Specialist 

Williston, VT 


Regular, Full-Time

The Account Support Specialist position is primarily responsible for administrative, bookkeeping and secretarial support to the Regulatory Services and Account Management Teams and will report to a Vice President.

Duties will or may include:

  • Administrative support to the account management and/or operations team
  • Receptionist/front office to include distribution and posting/courier of mail and documents, answering telephone, greeting visitors, supply ordering and office maintenance
  • Board meeting preparation, including meeting arrangements and assistance in material preparation
  • Paper and electronic file maintenance, including archival of offsite documents and coordination with account managers on upload to content management system
  • Client and/or corporate bookkeeping duties, including, but not limited to, processing and recording of cash receipts and disbursements, preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and data entry into client or corporate client ledgers
  • Client policy issuance
  • Coordination of mailings
  • Accurate and timely preparation of regulatory and premium tax filings

Job requirements: 

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines.  
  • Ability to accurately input data complex, technical or confidential in nature at a reasonable rate of speed.  
  • Proficiency in English grammar, vocabulary, punctuation and spelling.
  • Due to bookkeeping and investment duties, excellent math skills and bookkeeping experience is essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills due to client and regulatory interaction.


  • Minimum Associates’ Degree in business technology, secretarial science or office management or equivalent experience.  
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Quickbooks.

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and scanners.





Corporate Accounting Assistant 

Williston, VT 


Regular, Full-Time

The Corporate Accounting Assistant position is primarily responsible for book-keeping and administrative support to the Finance team and will report to the Corporate Accounting Supervisor.

Duties will or may include:

  • Accounts payable processing to include entering invoices and check issuance
  • Accounts receivable processing to include client invoicing, recording deposits, and follow up on past due accounts
  • Payroll preparation and processing
  • Other bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to, bank reconciliations and general ledger entry postings
  • Assistance with various projects as need in relation to the Finance Team

Job requirements: 

Strong attention to detail skills are necessary. Ability to prioritize and multi-task within prescribed deadlines. Ability to accurately and efficiently input data complex, technical or confidential in nature. Must be able to follow processes and procedures as established by the organization.


Associates Degree in accounting/business. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and familiarity with Intacct a plus. 1-3 years prior bookkeeping experience in professional office setting desired.
